774 @open notes: Yay for her first post! Also I apologize for the wall of words, you don't have to match this. I got a little carried away xD | Bella could rarely ever afford to buy anything from Bippity Boppity Boutique, but even she was one of the faces in the shop early Saturday morning. The store was busier than usual as it was a delivery day and all the newest styles being shipped in. So it was a busy day as everyone wanted what was new and it was perfect for Bella. She liked when she wasn't the only one looking around as it kept the staff busy with people other than Bella. She didn't want to have to awkwardly explain for the thousandth time that she was only looking around. However, it also gave her the opportunity to shop for something more valuable to her than anything in this store; inspiration. It was a not-so-well-kept secret among her friends that the notebook Bella carried around was filled with sketches of designs that came from this very store and sometimes if Bella liked it enough, she'd make her own version of it. (Modified of course.) Some people may call this stealing.... Bella instead saw it as Robin-Hooding. After all, no one outside of the royals could afford something here and this was the place to go for new designs. It wasn't fair that only a certain group of students could access them. This was making it just a little more fair and that made it okay, right? Anyway, Bella kept reminding herself of this as she flicked through a rack of dresses, looking to see if anything caught her eye. It didn't take very long for something to stand out like a sore thumb. Wow... that is... something else... she silently thought to herself as she pulled out a design. It was supposed to be a color block dress with a flare at the bottom, but there was just so much going on that she wasn't sure if it still considered that. At the bottom was had a ring of the brightest pink she had ever seen with a think white border. The rest of the dress was black, but at the waist was one of the strangest designs she had seen. Going around it's back, the waist fabric was white, but there were at least two inches thick belt loops of solid black, with a tacky little plastic belt weaved into it. Everything clashed and it was just absolutely horrendous. Something needed to be done here. So Bella searched the versions on the rack for something that was near her size and, once she found one, took it to the dressing room. Once inside, she quickly changed out of her own outfit and into the dress. It was twice as bad on her as it had been on the rack, but that didn't matter. Facing the mirror, Bella took her notebook out and began to sketch the way the dress looked on her, being sure to capture all the details that made it awful. Once she was satisfied with the drawing, she changed out of the dress. She then stepped out, prepared to say that it didn't fit. Luckily no one asked and instead, Bella just slipped it on the discarded rack. She then started to walk towards the exit, eager to get started on this design. However, before she got there, Bella realized her bag wasn't securely closed from when she put her notebook back. So as she was walking, she naturally looked down to make sure that the latch was fixed. She had just got it when.... THWACK "Ow..." Bella silently thought as she instinctively reached up to her head. Dazed, she didn't realize that she had actually run into someone for a moment, but when she saw the other person, also in pain. She hastily moved to apologize. "Oh gosh, I'm so sorry! Here let me help--" She trailed off at the end, looking down to realize that the contents of her purse had gone flying when she hit them. Bending down, she scooped back up the pencils and make up things that she was carrying and quickly put back in her bag. That's she realized that the most important thing had also fallen out, her notebook. Panicked, she glanced around and saw it at the other person's feet. The color drained from her face as Bella realized that the book had opened to one of her recent sketches, and they were reaching for it. This was mortifying.. "Err that's mine..." she said when they picked it up. Bella hoped that they would just close it and hand it back without any questions, but she didn't think that she was going to be that lucky, truth be told. |
