day dreaming,
The pool in the athletics hall has become a safe space for Hudson over the last five years. It was the one place he could come when he need to think, or when he was feeling homesick. The water had a calming effect on him that he couldn’t find anywhere else. It reminded him of his home and childhood back in Atlantica, where is mother and father still reside. It had become a routine to come here at the beginning of each year to be able to reflect and think on his goals for the upcoming year.
Sitting down at the edge of the pool Hudson allowed his feet to dangle in the water. The coolness immediately resonated through his body. He had rolled his jeans up as much as possible but they still seemed to be getting wet. Something that in the years since he had starting wearing him, he discovered was rather uncomfortable. For today at least he would deal with that discomfort for the tranquility of the water.
Part of Hudson wished to remove his ring and allow himself to take his true form and swim around the pool, but he wouldn’t allow himself. He had yet to reveal his true form while in Memoria, he wasn’t about to start now. No matter how tempting the call of the water could be. It was one of the reasons he had avoided joining the swim team. Well that and he didn’t think it would have been fair for his competitors. Instead he worked his way through half a dozen ‘land’ sports. Not that any had captured his interest for more than a couple weeks.
Watching as the waves rippled out as he moved his feet gently through the water he was hit with an intense sense of dissatisfaction. He had been coming to this school for five years now and he still hadn’t seemed to find a way to change his fate. Hudson wanted nothing more than a grand adventure or an epic love story. Something that neither of his parents had ever had. He wasn’t willing to settle for a simple life spent in quiet contempt. He was going to fight hard to be the star of his own story. This was going to be the year he did it.
This had to be the year.
He was getting older and older running out of time. If he didn’t do something soon he doubted anything would ever happen for him. He needed to be more like his aunt. He need to go out there and pursue what he wanted. Not wait for it to come to him. Now he just needed to figure out what exactly it was that he wanted.

Jezebel needed to remember the sea. Ever since she transferred over to Memoria, it'd become more and more of a struggle to even retrace the details of her father's ship. A lot of intricate memories swept away most of her frame of recollection, but she didn't really let the passage of her doubts blind her slight sense of excitement. The pool was pretty much the only 'oceanic' area that Memoria had to offer, But Jezebel didn't mind, really. As long as there was water, there was home. She waltzed her way over to the entrance, and pushed through the broken, automatic doors, as they creaked closer to a close with every step she took past it. Heaving a sharp sigh, Jezebel walked farther into the office room, and into the changing room. She scrunched up her raven black hair into a messy bun, while throwing on her bland gray bathing suit in replacement of her previous clothing. Once Jezebel made her way to the resting pool area, she suddenly felt a little self-conscious, as she took a regarding notice to a man, about her age, who was wading by the water's edge. She cleared her empty throat, and reluctantly decided to start up a conversation. Much to her growing curiosity, Jezebel couldn't tell whether he was a hero, or a villain. She certainly hadn't seen him around the Peraspera, so her assumption was a hero of some fashion. Jezebel casually plopped herself beside the man, her solid brown gaze locking onto the mellow ripples of the aqua-blue water. "Hey," she muttered roughly.

day dreaming, Hudson was startled from his thoughts by the sudden appearance of another person. He hadn't even noticed her entering until she had cleared her throat. Looking over at her as she sat down beside him he noticed that she was an attractive girl around his own age. Her dark features where striking against the light coming off the water.
Whoever the girl was she looked vaguely familiar to him. But no matter how hard he tried he couldn't place her name. Or is she was a hero. Not that it matter Hudson himself was merely a sidekick a fact her resented with his entire being. 'Not for long.' He thought to himself. Perhaps these girl would be the ticket for him to start a grand adventure. Or maybe she could just be a distraction for him. Whatever she was Hudson was looking forward to see what happened next.
"Hey." He responded with a smile. Her presence was unexpected but not unwelcome. As much as he had hoped to be alone with his thoughts, and say goodbye to his fins and home for the next school year. It didn't mean he couldn't enjoy the company. And seeing as she was at the pool ready to swim right as fall began showed that perhaps she herself had a connection to the water. He wondered if it called to her as it did him.
He continued to swirl his feet in the water, "I'm Hudson." He said careful not to splash her as he moved. He hoped that by offering his name she would be inclined to do so in return. It would be the polite thing to do. However as he had learned there were plenty of students in Memoria who were not as interested in the polite thing to do as his family was. Not that he could blame them, sometimes the wrong thing was just more fun.

"Jezebel," she replied shortly, briefly glancing at the man named 'Hudson', before returning her gaze to the water. A devious grin slowly made its way across her ivory-flushed lips. "Can you swim?" she asked, her long, thick lashes dancing back over to Hudson. She had only hoped that her smirk wasn't too obvious for the man to notice. One side of Jezebel wanted to throw him in the water, just for the sake of her own pleasure. She hadn't really accomplished anything today, including her late assignments. Jezebel was a free-spirited gal. Every single one of her motivations thrived on her rebellion and wit. Perhaps it would've been too soon for Hudson to pick up on her more mischievous side, so Jezebel decided it was best for her to act like a sweet, innocent royal, at least for a little while. Playing with peoples' vulnerability was one of Jezebel's renown specialties. Jezebel quickly turned her smirk into a sweet, glowing smile, one that she would've surely thrown up after seeing. "I'm quite the expert myself," she swooned, paddling her delicate feet into the chlorine-infused pool. "What about you?" she chirped.

day dreaming, Hudson tried to hold back a laugh as Jezebel asked if he could swim. It was clear now that the girl didn’t know who he was. ‘This could be fun.’ He thought. “Yeah, I guess I can swim.” He told her trying to not let his ego show through to much. To be fair though he had only swam in his human form a few times. It wasn’t something he really liked, it was too different from the more natural feel of his tail.
‘An expert.’ She couldn’t be from Atlantica too. No he would know her if she was. While not technically a prince he was still a member of the royal family back home, and she would know that. He couldn’t think of any other heroes that would be experts of water. Unless she wasn’t a hero. Not that he minded. If anything she might be more open to having fun. Hudson noticed that a few of the royals and heroes around Memoria took themselves a little too seriously.
“I guess I could be considered an expert” He teased her right back. She would have no idea what hit her once they started. Standing up he pulled off his shirt and jeans left standing only in his black boxers. Tossing his clothes against the wall where they should be safe from the splashes. “After you.” He told her with a smirk.
