Sage could hear the rain hitting the window before she opened her eyes. It was Saturday morning, she slowly opened her eyes as she looked over to the window that was covered by the blinds. Lifting the blinds with her right hand, she saw a grey sky outside, and it was raining pretty hard. Rolling back onto her back, she laid in her bed for a moment before looking at her phone. ‘8:20, not bad’ she thought to herself before putting her phone down beside her. Standing up she looked herself over in the mirror and began fixing herself, Sage always had to look good. She didn’t get many traits from her mother, but she was a little vain at times. After putting her hair into a messy bun, and putting her makeup on, Sage walked back into the bedroom. Looking at the empty room beside her, Sage knew she needed to get out of the dorm. She felt a rumble in her stomach, she needed to eat.
Grabbing an umbrella and putting on a pair of bright blue rain boots before heading out the door, Sage walked out into the rain. Opening her umbrella before she got too wet, she began walking into Memoria. She was craving a fresh pastry from Basil’s, they were all so delicious she didn’t even know which one she wanted to get yet. During her walk Sage took a moment to enjoy the rain by sticking her hand out the side of her umbrella. She loved the water, she always had, it was her mother she couldn’t stand. She was so tired of being seen as Ursula’s daughter. Her magic could be so much more than that. Finding her thoughts beginning to drift she brought herself back into the present and continued walking to the Cafe.
Arriving outside the Cafe, she held the door open for people walking out. They thanked her as they walked by, and she felt a glow rise inside her stomach. “You’re welcome” She replied to them as she walked in the doors of the Cafe. She closed her umbrella and opened the inner door before hopping in line to get a pastry. Looking ahead she could see fresh muffins and croissants, she felt her mouth begin to water at the thought of them. Focusing on what she wanted to order, she walked up to the counter. “Hi, I’ll get a blueberry scone, and a plain scone with jam, please” Sage’s mouth watered as she ordered. She couldn’t wait to get her food. Walking over to the side, she waited for her order while she looked to find an empty table. Hearing her order come up she turned around to greet the lady working. Taking her food, Sage turned around and headed into the dining room, and grabbing a table by the window.
