Growing up is falling down And landing safely on the ground
Audrey Monroe Radcliffe put her sketch book inside her backpack as well as a few pencils and erasers and pulled her backpack over her right shoulder. Audrey took one more glance around her dorm room before she opened the door and walked out. She had plans to just sit around and relax for the time being but she really didn't want to do that inside her room. The young dark haired girl wanted to go outside and do that. She loved being out there.
Audrey walked outside with a smile on her face. She wore the same style of clothing that she normally wears, a pair of jeans, a purple plaid shirt with a black tank top underneath and her normal pair of black Converse shoes. As Audrey strolled to the courtyard, she was whistling, a tune that her father had always sung when her and her older brother were kids, a song he called Cruella De Vil. Cruella was a woman that her mother used to work for. that her father didn't like either. Her parents never really spoke about her or what had happened with their relationship with the woman and Audrey never really bothered to ask. She figured that it was one of those dark times in her parent’s life.
Once Audrey got to the courtyard she looked around. She found a small shady spot where no one was around and she walked over and sat down. Audrey pulled out the black hardcover sketchbook out of her bag and opened it to a blank page. She started to sketch something, though it really wasn't nothing in particular. she just liked to doodle until something came to mind.

make up your mind, Dean looked around his dorm room to ensure he had everything he needed for today, his backpack filled with books, snacks, money. He slipped the bag onto his shoulder before grabbing a deck of cards off his dresser. Looking at them for a moment before sliding them into his backpack, Dean made his way out of his dorm. Walking down the hall he began thinking about what kind of day he was going to have. He wasn’t sure what he wanted to do, all he knew is that he didn’t want to stay inside. Dean wasn’t the kind of guy to sit quietly for too long, it made him antsy, and when he got antsy; he got into trouble.
Dean made his way down the hallway, as he shuffled in between various groups of kids hanging out in the hallway. He didn’t mind, it reminded him of home with people all over the place. Made it easier to pickpocket someone when it was busy like this, people wouldn’t often notice his hand sliding around their wallet before taking it. Sure, it wasn’t the nicest thing to do but Dean wasn’t always the nicest guy.
Making his way outside, he had to shield his eyes from the sun. Taking his backpack off his back, Dean swung it around before opening the zipper. Once the bag was open he began rooting around for his sunglasses, as he found them near the bottom of his bag, he pulled his hand slowly back out and placed the sunglasses on his face. They suited him well, black ray-bans, not only were they stylish but he also found them to be extremely effective at keeping the sun from his eyes. Dean was the kind of guy who always seemed to have the finer things, regardless to how he acquired such things. He didn’t mind, he worked hard for his money, he figured he might as well show it off while he can before he has a family to support, should be ever be so lucky.
Walking down the path, he headed towards the courtyard, which was one of his favourite spots for doing his card tricks. He always found he had a great turn out when performing in the courtyard as many people use the path, even if they are just commuting from one building to another. He didn’t mind though, he loved a sea of people. As he continued walking down the path he noticed a girl sitting under a tree, she seemed to be doodling or someone. Dean being the flirtatious guy that he is, changed his path so he would end up walking directly beside the girl.
Waiting until he was close enough to the girl, he pulled out his pack of cards and began shuffling the cards in his hands. Looking down at the girl sitting under the tree, he flashed her one of his most cunning smiles before asking “Would you like to see a card trick? The first one is on the house”

Growing up is falling down And landing safely on the ground
Audrey remained in her shaded spot and she looked up every once in a while. It was down time like this that Audrey wondered what her parents were up to and how the dogs were. She missed being on the ranch and being with all the dogs. Audrey let out a sigh and she placed the pencil behind her ear and thought a moment. She then took the pencil again and started to sketch the house that her and her brother grew up in.
The voice of another snapped out of her out of her thoughts and her head shot up and looked right at another student standing in front of her. He was smiling and Audrey could do was smile back. He had asked her if she would like to see a card trick and she nodded.
“sure, show me.” Audrey smiled to him, placing her pencil back behind her ear again and closed her sketchbook and placed it down next to her. He was charming, she would admit that. He also looked fairly familiar. He looked older than her so she figured that they didn't have any classes together. Maybe he was friends with her brother or knew her brother or something.
“so card tricks?” Audrey paused a moment. “where did you learn how to do card tricks?” she then asked him curiously.

make up your mind, Dean couldn’t help but smirk when she nodded and told him to go ahead. Dean was in his element. He grabbed his cards from his backpack and began shuffling the cards, normally at first. Once he noticed her watching him he decided to add in some tricks. He knew he was being a little bit of a show off but he couldn’t help it, she had openly invited him to show off his skills. Putting the deck back together, Dean evened out the corners and laid the cards in the palm of his hand. “Pick a card, but don’t show me” Dean directed as he watched the girl.
He waited patiently as she picked her card, looked at it and returned it back to the pile. He studied the girl for a moment, her face had an almost innocent look to it. He could have sworn he had seen it before, he figured they didn’t have any classes together. She looked to put together to be a villain, but he had been wrong before. He knew it was best not to discriminate. “Growing up in Peraspera, you learn how to stand out. I taught myself when I was younger” Dean admitted, usually he would have given more a decorative answer but today he wasn’t feeling it, something told him it would be better to be himself.
As he continued on with the card trick, he shuffled the cards some more before cutting the deck in various ways before coming back to one card. Turning around the card, “Is your card, the queen of spades?” Dean asked cockily. He knew he had gotten it right, he always did. He was known for being good at his tricks, it’s how he survived living on the island for all those years.
“I’m Dean by the way” Dean introduced himself, as he extended his hand for her to shake. He loved formal introductions, believed you could tell a lot about a person from the type of handshake they had.
